Preparing Your Vehicle For Winter

Outside

• Tire Inspection - We check the depth of tread and the tire itself for wear and sturdiness. We also check balancing, and can check alignment if needed.
• Wiper Blade Inspection - Wiper blades take a lot of abuse over the winter, scraping over ice. They should be changed each year as winter approaches.
• Windshield Crack & Chip Inspection - Cracks in windows only get bigger, and its worse when its cold. It is not a good idea to put off fixing cracks.

Mechanical

• Battery Test & Inspection - We inspect the connections to make sure they are not corroded or worn. We also test your battery to make sure it is charging properly.
• Brake Inspection - We check your brake pads and replace them if needed. We also check all the parts involved to make sure your car will stop when you need it to.
• HVAC Inspection - heater, defrost, seat warmers, steering wheel warmers - You need to stay warm, so we inspect all heating systems to make sure they are working correctly, and replace any worn out parts.

Safety

• Check/Replace Engine Coolant & Antifreeze - It is a good idea to check this yearly. We replace your antifreeze so you will have fresh fluid to keep your engine from freezing during the winter.
• Change Washer Fluid to Winter Blend - Washer fluid with the winter blend will help melt ice, and help you keep snow off your windows as you drive.
• Roadside Safety Kit - A roadside safety kit should include a flashlight, safety flares, blankets, batteries, and other items to keep you safe if you become stranded on the road.
